 Create Your New Normal

In many respects you create the world you live in by your own actions and responses. If normal to you is being able to:
  • pick out a piece of glass in-person from the glass shop down the street, do it now to support those shops which have been able stay afloat this long. That way they'll be there for you later so you don't have to buy all your sheet glass and supplies on-line.
  • select exactly the glass creation from your favorite artist at a show rather than from an on-line photo, do it now. It will keep those artists being able to create more as well as keeping art shows financially viable. See the list of in-person events below.

At Sorticulture this June lots of artists and shoppers got to interact in-person for the first time in over a year.
  • take an in-person class to learn new skills and a better appreciation of what goes into a particular type of work, do it now. See our classes and resources page.
  • socialize with other glass folks and you're vaccinated do it now (otherwise choose Zoom to protect yourself, unvaccinated kids, and the approx. 20% of the vaccinated who are catching the new variant).
Come to one of the PNW Glass Guild picnics (Seattle and Portland) or host/join a glass Play Day. See the PNW Glass Guild Calendar for other events meant to help build the regional glass community both in-person and via Zoom.
It will be so good to see each other in person again. Let's do it safely and creatively.
